So if you're a student that's looking for an opportunity to become a part of a community where you will be known and appreciated UWT is the place for you.
The UWT partnered with YMCA to create the University Y Center so that students can work out and hang out on campus. We also have study abroad options to the Office of Global Affairs so that students can get experience globally and not just here at UWT.
The Y Center also contains the Center for Student Involvement, also called the CSI on campus. The CSI is the perfect place for any student whether you are an incoming student, you're a transfer student, freshmen or a continuing student. To go and kind of learn about the resources available on campus.
You can sign up for any club under the sun. We have a center for Equity and Inclusion where you can get more involved in your community and find out what benefits are for you. We have other fun clubs on campus, ones that do a lot of great work in the community, volunteer hours and make sure they're uplifting the Tacoma Community in general.
So I'll definitely suggest if you are a new student or even if you're continuing student, go visit the CSI learn more about the opportunities that you can get involved with on campus. You can even end up working at the CSI center. If you're a transfer student and coming to UW Tacoma, great choice. Get in touch with your academic advisor and get those classes in.
