    Our Faculty

I think what makes the faculty at UW Tacoma distinct is that they were largely drawn here to start something new. It was a new campus. The faculty are very entrepreneurial, that's helped grow the programs and continues to help innovate the programs that we offer students.

The students that we have at UW Tacoma, I don't think you can fit them in a box. They are wide variety of students from first generation to working students that are coming back for a second career.

The faculty at UWT are strongly committed to creating inclusive classrooms. That's part of what makes the classrooms really rich and the faculty are committed to assuring that the students feel welcomed and encouraged to contribute to the classroom and share their experiences and perspectives with their classmates in a way that really enriches the learning community.

My professors at UW Tacoma have just been fantastic. With the small class sizes, you really get to know each other a lot better. If you are utilizing those office hours, you are really getting one on one connection with them that is really all about support and uplifting you to your future.

I can see immediately the positive impact that we are having on students in terms of truly transforming their lives.
